15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lordyour God redeemed you; therefore I command you this today.

2 “This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you.
Deuteronomy 16:1 (ESV)
16 “Observe the month of Abib and keep the Passover to the Lord your God, for in the month of Abib the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt by night.

14 “This day shall be for you a memorial day, and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations, as a statute forever, you shall keep it as a feast.

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

from every tribe and language and people and nation,

18 knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.

17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,

9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
